Debbie Flint

What are you doing on Monday 26th at 8pm? Fancy taking part in an online 'virtual pub quiz' to raise funds for Medical Detection Dogs? It'll be a hoot - are you any good at trivia questions? Try the few below... or text £2 donation maybe?

Also - if you're a Back to You Facebook group member, see the announcement below - and thank you.

Gracie's doing well so far, by the way, after her op (see last week's newsletter) and whilst she's not dramatically different yet, the other day she was bounding around the dog pen chasing her sister Daisy in and out of the kennel. It's so lovely to see. They also adore little Maggie next door, who comes over regularly for her playtime. I'm using Pet Munchies to help encourage little Maggie Mag to 'come' - she's a bit of a liability when they're out apparently, John and Lucy next door told me, and when pheasants are about she can't be seen for dust! It seems to be helping... I use a call of 'chickennnnnn'! It's amazing what they'll do for some pet munchies! Look at the reviews, I hope they come back in stock soon! If I run out, it's carrots! STOP PRESS - just had a 'puppy party' today (sunday) - you wait till you see the pics in next week's newsletter - you'll be the first to see all of them!

Organic  Talking of grub, I started getting organic deliveries each week again. So far I've given away two lots of potatoes, corn on the cob and some long green things (?!!) as I didn't get round to eating them before the next lot arrived! Sure they taste good but has anyone actually noticed the dirt on organic veg box deliveries? It's almost like they've smeared the dirt onto them... as opposed to cleaning it off like with ordinary veg. Hmmm... They do taste good though. Am debating whether to continue or not. But I am still making super duper power juices with Jason Vale's juicer. Did you see another big celebrity account of losing weight with his system - Gemma Collins from Towie lost three stone at his Juicy Retreat abroad. more here. I'm actually keeping relatively in line with my healthy eating. Would like to be a bit lighter to fit into clothes more easily, even though what's underneath is quite toned thanks to Bodyblade, legmaster, pilates and yoga, dog-walking etc! Well, I am off to Champneys for a couple of nights with my pal, QVC model Goody, end of next week so that'll help and will be very relaxing. I was away a lot this year mainly for work and for writing holidays, so it'll be nice to unwind.

Round Up

QVC blogs - Last week's QVC blog featuring a sneaky peek of Sunday's Liz Earle Today's Special Value bargain  is here.

You don't have to donate to take part this Monday in the webchat slot (which is usually 8-9pm on the Back to You QVC group) but if you want to that's great - just click here for more info and don't forget to leave your email address if you just want to be emailed the list of questions for fun. go here.

Or if you'd rather keep it short and sweet, if your mobile is handy and you can donate £2, just text now - 'MDDC53 £2' to 70070, it'll help buy the minus 80 degree freezer they need for the next stage in their prostate cancer research. Fab charity. Proud to be an ambassador. Thank you x

Back to You Group.

Thank you if you helped decide the future of the group by taking part in the little online survey, the results are out. and yes it's about to become closed again! The full info is below*. Basically it doesnt really change anything as far as members are concerned it just means that now it's closed it's not eligible to be mentioned on air or endorsed by QVC but considering how many people didn't want their comments to show up and considering how few Back to You shows there are now, it's best this way. Full info and announcement is at the bottom. QVC team are also letting people know, for me, on the QVC page too.

Anyway have a great week and hope you can join us on Monday night's virtual pub quiz!

Update regarding the 'Back to You QVC', group changing back to closed status and once no longer open, moving away from QVC affiliation and becoming an independent group, as requested by 3 out of 4 members!

As many members of our fabulous back to you QVC group will know we ran a survey recently asking the 4000 members whether they would prefer their posts not to be seen by their friends and family. Especially in the run-up to Christmas where gifts may be discussed. The overwhelming response was yes please make it closed, but this posed a slight quandary for me as I had been asked a long time ago by QVC to keep it open in order to get an endorsement to mention it on air for my 'back to you' shows. When it was only a few hundred members talking about the shows straight afterwards, that was very sensible and Logical. But the group has grown to be more than about just me and my shows, and, whilst it is still mostly banter and news about Qvc topics, it has really taken off in another direction.

Therefore QVC and myself have agreed that it will no longer be subject to a QVC endorsement, which means it won't be mentioned on air by me- for instance in relation to my shows - or linked to directly from my QVC social media, blog etc. This is okay for me, it's better that the members get what they need at this time of year.

And behind-the-scenes, QVC pages worldwide are joining together, you may have noticed it's 2.2 million likes now - that is an impressive total from around the world! And there are movements behind the scenes to change what goes on in social media. I've been chuffed to run this separate group in association with Qvc's endorsement, and I must thank my bosses for allowing me to interact on air in this way for so long, it's been a real joy to do it as an open group.

But times change.

So the group will continue, Webchats will continue, of course, as brand marketing departments are very keen to post their news where ever it makes sense to do so, and they are totally independently able to do that where ever they wish - naturally. And as guests really love the group and the members there, The Monday 8 PM chats will continue, and anyone can join the group – almost anyone – but only members will now be able to see the content, as requested by the majority consensus. Who am I to argue!

Incidentally following my successful September web chats which I kindly ran over on the main QVC page, there are plans afoot to bring much more content like that, including a weekly chat on Facebook at 6pm and new features in my blog to include sneaky peak on some fantastic offers! So do you watch out for those – we will remind you of them via the Back to You group.

Nb From now on only 'Back to You QVC' group admin's will be responsible for running the group itself and any questions to do with its content, as it becomes a completely independent group. Please try again if you think you have been turned down as we had several Facebook glitches which lost requests to join, however several hundred have been added in the last two weeks so you are very welcome to give it a go. Any issues please email me via my website www.debbieflint.com and I'll see if I can help. But Qvc social admin team are not the ones to ask.

Meanwhile, this Monday join us for the final 'visible to all' Webchats, and check out my website if you would like to see all the things that I mention on QVC if you can't find them, there is a QVc page for instance where you can find my QVC blogs if you're having a problem and don't know where to look! You can sign up for my regular Email updates too, about qvc stuff, exclusive clips and funnies plus news of my steamy novels! Incidentally check out Jackie Kabler's blog to read about our latest presenter author!

A massive thank you to my very good friend Sharon and other admins for helping run the group and making it what it is now, there has been an overwhelming majority of people commenting how well the group is run, I guess we wouldn't have so many people wanting to join if it wasn't the case!

There are a lot of other groups on Facebook too, if you're not aware, just search your favourite brand and you'll be able to find places to join in no doubt, plus please please please look at the brands' own Facebook pages as that is where many of them share their news first, about deals etc. Or just search online yourself and you will be able to find so much more about Qvc bargains than you thought!

On this fabulous QVC page for instance there are always upcoming bargains being shared and sneaky peeks for instance from Will Gowing who has his own wonderful Facebook page, so does Alison Young, and so do I. Do explore, do tailor-make your own social media involvement, and do enjoy QVC online in which ever way makes sense for you. But if there's something you need to know don't forget you can always go to my website www.debbieflint.com.

Thanks! Debs x"

ps - THIS DOES NOT MEAN QVC WILL ASK GUESTS NOT TO POST ON BACK TO YOU (obvious I know, but just in case) it merely means we change the wording on the group header, and in return for allowing the group to go independent and members'only/closed, I trade mentioning it on air as it's no longer open to public. But the members have spoken!

Published in Debbie's News

Well times they certainly are a-changing!

Here's the big announcement that's coming soon following our very successful survey of 4000 members on the group - in just a week the vast majority of people who replied said they did indeed want the group to go closed.

In fact, 3 out of 4 said they definitely preferred if other friends and family could NOT see their chats on Back to You QVC group crop up in their newsfeed, especially in the run up to xmas. Then of the remainder, another 3 out of 4 didn't mind. That's 19 out of 20 so it will be changing to a members-only/closed status as of Tuesday.

More about it on this week's QVC blog and on my Home News post - you'll have had this if you subscribe to my newsletter!

Just a little Back to You post this week as a one-off - do come back for next week's one with full info on the plans for Back to You group. Exciting times!

This week's webchat with \patrick was fun - it's here - follow this link.

and Bruce's bodyblade chat is on Bodyblade group.

Hope you are well.

Book of the week – Dead Dog Day

OMG another QVC colleague becomes  a first-time author, this time our lovely Jackie Kabler – and hers is available in some bookshops too as it’s with publisher Accent press. Go here to read about it on her QVC blog  A murder in a newsroom and the weekend from hell for Cora Baxter, breakfast TV reporter (that was Jackie’s job! See my little Q&A with her to find out if it’s a bit more close to home than she’ll admit!...

Jackie says –

“The book is called The Dead Dog Day, and it’s what the book industry calls “cosy crime” – a sort of mix between chick lit and a murder mystery, set in a TV newsroom.”

When your Monday morning begins with a dead dog and ends with a dead boss, you know it's going to be one of those days. And breakfast TV reporter Cora Baxter has already had the weekend from hell, after the man she'd planned a fabulous future with unceremoniously dumped her. Now Cora's much-hated boss has been murdered - the list of suspects isn't exactly short, but as the enquiry continues the trail leads frighteningly close to home. Why is Cora's rival, glamorous, bitchy newsreader Alice Lomas, so devastated by their boss's death? What dark secrets are Cora's camera crew hiding? And why has her now ex-boyfriend vanished? The race to stop the killer striking again is on...

Lorraine Kelly with whom Jackie worked, says Jackie has real insider knowledge and it shows. A proper page-turning thriller. I couldn't put it down! --Lorraine Kelly

Q&A with our lovely new author colleague!

1. Give us a teaser about your new book, who is the heroine?

It's about a TV news reporter called Cora Baxter. She works on a breakfast TV show and one morning her boss is murdered. Cora is assigned to cover the story for the show and ends up getting dragged into the investigation in unexpected ways. It's essentially a murder mystery, but there's humour and romance in there too.

2. Is any of the story based on your real life experiences? Reminders what you used to do.

Absolutely! I worked in news as a reporter and newsreader for twenty years before I joined QVC, and spent nearly ten years with GMTV.  Virtually everything in the book (apart from the dead boss!) is based on things that actually happened to me during those years. Some might seem a bit far-fetched, but believe me, they are all true. Breakfast television is a crazy world!

 3. Have you always known you wanted to write a book, is this your first one that you've completed? Did you used to be a writer?

I loved writing even at school, and dreamed of one day seeing a book with my name on it, but I didn't get round to starting one until I was in my forties! The Dead Dog Day is the first one I've ever written, so I was so lucky to get a publishing deal with it, I'm absolutely thrilled.

4. How did it come to be published, tell us your amazing story.

The book, which I started when I was still working for GMTV, originally started as more of a romantic comedy, but it wasn’t really working and there was no interest in it whatsoever when I sent it out to a few agents. Then I left GMTV to work freelance and life got even busier so the book was put away for about six years. When I joined QVC, where I work four days a week, I decided to get it out again, and rewrite it as a murder mystery. This time when I started sending it out I got several rejections but then a sudden flurry of interest, until one crazy day when I suddenly had an agent and three publishing deals on offer. I accepted a three-book deal with the fabulous Accent Press, for a series of murder mysteries featuring the same characters. It was one of the most exciting days of my life!

French or Dutch update

Saw ‘Suffragette’ last week and it spurred me on to do some more research. Watching some old footage and documentaries on Youtube reminded me how archaic some of society was a century ago. In the USA some states made it illegal to teach the science that the world was more than 5000 years old, until the 1930s!  I’ve loved watching some of the old interviews with silent movie stars done in the 1950s when of course they were still alive, recalling the magic days of early film and giving me excellent points of reference to use in my novel. Mine is set around 1921 at the start of the early revolution in women’s sex lives in Britain and is based on a true story!... More next week!

Best wishes

Wow, what a book of the week this one is - it's a revisit, actually, in preparation for Seth Patrick's new one, 'Lost Souls' which is sitting waiting on my iphone Audible app as soon as this is done!

I loved it the first time - so spooky and also very clever. Well read too, mostly (apart from one dodgy Northern Irish accent but then that's a hard one!

"HE GIVES JUSTICE TO THE DEAD. Jonah Miller is a reviver. Part of a forensic investigative team, he is able to wake the recently dead and let them bear witness to their own demise. The testimony of the dead is permitted in courtrooms across the world. Forensic revival is a routine part of police investigation.

But while reviving the victim of a brutal murder, he encounters a terrifying presence. Something is watching. Waiting. His superiors tell him it was only in his mind, a product of stress. Jonah is not so certain.

Then Daniel Harker, a journalist and revival supporter, is murdered, and Jonah finds himself getting dragged into the hunt for answers. Working with Harker's daughter Annabel, he's determined to find those responsible and bring them to justice. Soon they uncover long-hidden truths that call into doubt everything Jonah stands for, and reveal a threat that, if not stopped in time, will put all of humanity in danger . ."

It gets a very high 9.5 out of ten from me on audiobook (lost a bit 'cos of that accent!) and I can't wait for the next one. Find out more here on Amazon.

Take a Chance on Me - my own book with Choc Lit the UK publisher, on Amazon - free with kindle unlimited, so do get it whilst you can - especiallly if you've still got a holiday looming and fancy a bit of steaminess! go here.

And for more from the trilogy, go for book one, Hawaiian Escape and Book 3, Hawaiian Retreat. More from me on Amazon...

TTFLS update

Plus I've been really pleased to see new reviews on my Till the Fat Lady Slims book - like this one -

"5.0 out of 5 starsBack on track!

on 9 June 2015
"WooHoo.....
I've got my 'weight loss' focus back on track thanks to Debbie's book. There are several foodies/eating bits I can connect with and just by reading someone's else's struggle and on going victory has given the proverbial kick up the *** I needed! (It's strange how the brain works).

The great thing is I'm really starting to enjoy food again and I'm actually thinking ... 'Am I hungry & What do I want to eat' ... instead of just stuffing food into my mouth. And the one major thing I've done after reading this book was to get rid of my bathrooms scales! Who'd have thought someone trying to loose weight and not weighing in... weird or what!

I would recommend Debbie's book to anyone who is struggling to get into the right frame of mind for loosing weight simply becuse this book is not a traditional ' diet book' but an insight into someone personal journey on the road to self improvement and weight loss.

Thank you Debbie for sharing!"

Have a lovely week.

Best wishes

NON-FICTION

Till the Fat Lady Slims 2.0 – the ‘When’ Diet - is my semi-autobiographical weight loss book – updated for 2014 to include the latest thinking about nutrition. Learn how to eat like slim people do.

You know one of the most irritating things about me, for me, is that if someone tells me I can’t do something I want to. Even if I didn’t before. Therefore it’s vital for me to stick to my Till the Fat lady Slims/ Freedom Eating principles even when I’m embarking upon a new eating trial.

Take Jason Vale’s Juicemaster ‘5lb in 5 days’. I wanted to see what it was like and if I could actually do a plan using the juices I’d previously been really wanting after I got given the new TSV Retro Slow Juicer to play with. Yes, as soon as I knew I couldn’t have anything except the juices and smoothies, what did I do? Rebel. In my head. So I just slid comfortably back into Freedom Eating ways of thinking – ‘what does my body really feel like now? If I want it, I can have it.’ That did the trick. I swapped a couple of the juices for proper greens and tofu or soup, and nibbled a bit of salmon from the pies hour at work. Satisfied = sorted, in my head.

The mind is a funny thing, right? Now I know my ‘inner chimp’ can be dealt with (see previous blog about ‘The Chimp Paradox’ – a brilliant book by a British professor) that way – with food at least – it’s such a relief. And such a Freedom. Read more about Freedom Eating in my eBook/Paperback on amazon here.

And here are a few more posts from our Facebook group about how well others have been doing using TTFLS and Bodyblade and the like. I’m so glad we have such a good supportive community online.

 latest review on Amazon -

"Great book for fresh insight into my relationship with food. Treating it as the enemy didn't help or looking it as a brief pleasure to be paid for later wasn't any better. Makes life much easier now eating only when I'm hungry and enjoying what I eat and slowing down too. Working life I have had to eat by the clock (shifts) and then hurry and not really have time to enjoy so I am rethinking it and starting again. Read it for yourself and see"

Also on TTFLS facebook group, Natalie Hollern was cock-a-hoop - she said

"Lost 3 pounds this week.. feeling a bit happier and glad I am sticking with the smoothie and also following TTFLS book" then she posted this comment -

Andie Stephany Hi Laura from all at Get Geller Gorgeous xxxx

Denise Sanders Is there anything 'special' coming up for us before Christmas?

Denise Sanders What new items are going to be available for us GG's on QVC?

Julie Pratt Welcome Laura, any sneaky hints on the Xmas TSV? X

Laura Geller Thank you so much for welcoming me, Sharon! I can't thank you all enough for making Balance-n-Brighten the Beauty Excellence award winner for Best Foundation!

Andie Stephany Hi honey x

Debbie Flint welcome laura!!!

Eunice Burndred Laura you are beautiful xx

Sue Stewart Hi Laura and welcome to this fantastic group of ladies. I love your makeup especially your BnB. Will you ever put a sun protection in it?

Jeanette Bennett Yes I agree with Sue, a sun protector is a brilliant Idea.......

Suzanne Trowell I have a bnb with sunscreen in.

Sue Stewart I've not seen it Suzanne Trowell?

Suzanne Trowell It was one if the tsv about 18 months ago x

Sue Stewart Must have had it then but didn't realise. Laura is it in every BnB?

Andie Stephany There used to be a Balance n Brighten with SPF 20 but it's no longer available here.

Kathryn Stewart Woo HOO! Yes we need sunscreen also any chance if the wonderful honeycomb embossed highlighter that was in the Xmas TSV last year? X

Roisin McDonagh There is balance n brighten with SPF 15, but as far as I know it's not available in the UK anymore. I've never got it, unless I wasn't aware of it! From what I've heard the formulation is a little different. There is the SPF spackle which came in a tsv last summer, and some complexion products have SPF in them. Maybe if demand increases again she will bring the SPF BnB back xx

Debbie Flint Hi laura! Do tell everyone about your new place in New York, and what u get up to nowadays! (Goes live 8-9pm) x

Debbie Flint And an extra webchat with andrew gatineau on here Wed 23rd too just before new tsv on 26th! X

Laura Geller For Balance-n-Brighten SPF, there are parameters around making legal claims about SPF in powders here in the States. We are working hard to make more products with SPF for all your enjoyment! We recommend using an SPF with our Balance-n-Brighten always!

Sue Stewart Thank you Laura xx

Laura Geller Hi Suzanne Trowell! My new The Delectables Delicious Shades of Cool has amazing shades of pinks & plums that you will love! The palette. For your consideration, here is the item number 209631.

Andie Stephany Spackle with SPF under bnb ??

Laura Geller Hi Julie Pratt! I'm sure that everyone is so excited about the TSV coming in November! I cannot wait to get on air and present it smile emoticon Me and my team have been working so hard on something BRAND NEW surrounding Balance-n-Brighten but that is all I can say! November 21st is going to be a fun day for everyone!

Sharon Harvay yes!!!!!!!!!! cannot wait x

Sue Stewart Can you add an SPF to Spackle without problem like Andie mentioned. That would solve problems all round.

Debbie Flint what's the date?

Andie Stephany Sue there already is one!! Check my Spackle guide on the group

Andie Stephany 21 November

Sylvia Jarvis I'm sure that I read that spf in make up looks really white in photos (especially when the flash is used), so probably best to do the spf first and make up on top.

Sue Stewart I have Andie but I have so much Spackle of all sorts to use. If it was in all Spackle that would be great.

Laura Geller Debbie Flint The next TSV will be on November 21st!

Andie Stephany

Andie Stephany In sets

Alana Hughes Any new baked blush colours coming soon Laura? Thanks x

Roisin McDonagh Hi Laura. Will we be getting any new shades in the lasting love lip crayons? Aside from the auto delivery of the last tsv xx

Laura Geller During my November TSV, we have a few new launches coming up! Imagine something gorgeous the artisans have been working hard on smile emoticon A brand new formulated lipstick and a gorgeous palette with bronzer, highlighter, and blush -- it's stunning and you will all love it! I'm excited beyond belief that these products are coming your way!

Laura Geller Hi Sylvia Jarvis! Glad to know you're smart enough to mix your balance colors. Sometimes to get your perfect shade, you need to mix two different colors. At the moment, we're not planning on coming out with new Balance-n-Brighten shades but thank you for the feedback smile emoticon

Sue Stewart So am I Laura. Can't wait

Rebecca Warren Hi Laura Geller! Love your make up especially your blushers and highlighters hoping you can answer my questions, I am looking for a bright purple eyeliner do you have any coming to q? Also do you have any plans to get the solid colour bronzer (on q with slanted brush) in a set? Your B n B has made my work make up foolproof, thanks a million! Rebecca Warren

Sharon Harvay Yayayayayayayayayay Laura!!! You are spoiling us with surprises wink emoticon

Laura Geller Kathryn Stewart Hi Kathryn! My Baked Gelato Lace Illuminator in Ballerina is the same as the Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator in Ballerina -- it's just a different design, but the same lovely product!

Laura Geller Rebecca Warren At the moment, we have a few purple eyeliners available, but nothing too bright! The deep purples are very intoxicating and you'll love them smile emoticon

Isabel O'Hara Laura Geller is there a simple way to make your thinning top lip look more in in proportion to the bottom one without hard lip liners?

Laura Geller Rebecca Warren Which bronzer are you referring too? I just want to make sure I'm giving you the right answers smile emoticon I do have the Baked Impressions Bronzer in a set on Q right now; here is the item number: 203148

Sharon Harvay Laura, I am OBSESSED with your Tahitian Glow body Frosting! I have it in all sizes, use it all year round and get through tons of it! It makes a stunning eyeshadow and mixed with a clear balm, a beautiful lip colour! Do not ever stop making it! Hahaha

Laura Geller I moved this summer into a brand new flat and all I ever wanted was to have views of the beautiful New York City skyline and I searched for years until I found the perfect home for myself and Daniel! I even have a balcony smile emoticon

Debbie Flint a balcony? that high up? eeeek! looks amazing tho!

Isabel O'Hara New York an amazing city. I loved it when I visited. Your view is incredible!

Denise Sanders Laura - I like to use the make up pad with my b & b - but it is falling apart! Do you sell them separately?

Kam Mehta How stunning is that view?! You lucky girl and wishing you both lots of happiness in your new home. Xx

Laura Geller I'm pretty high up, I'm on the 41st floor! That's how you get to see the cityscape so well smile emoticon Let's just hope they don't have fire drill, girls -- and thank goodness I don't have a fear of heights!

Rebecca Warren Yes that's the one Laura Geller was hoping you would have a cheeky set available I got a Bronze n Brighten set last year from q and I discovered your gorgeous ocean eyeliner!

Sharon Harvay Stunning!!!!! Wow x

Suzanne Trowell I'd be on the floor. Can't even go above 4 floors. Beautiful skyline though. Hopefully one day I'll get to visit your beautiful city xx

Debbie Flint By the way I am absolutely adoring your Italian soufflé body creams at the moment hope there are more again in the future smile emoticon X

Sharon Harvay ooooooh Debs that smells beautiful xx

Laura Geller Isabel O'Hara My tip for fuller lips is simple: it's always good to use a little bit of light concealer or foundation around your lip line, and then stencil a light color lip liner around your lips. Another great little tip is to put a bit of light colored lip gloss to the center of your lip!

Isabel O'Hara Thanks Laura. I will try out these tips x

Laura Geller Debbie Flint You're holding my personal fave! You can't imagine the beautiful artistry that goes into making those souffles! I'm so glad you love them & I hope everyone gets to try them too smile emoticon Here's the item number in-case anyone wants to try! 207628

Laura Geller Sharon Harvay Just when I thought I knew all the uses for Tahitian Glow, you come up with some great tips for me & the gals! I love it & I don't ever plan to stop making it! heart emoticon

Jillian Widlake Just wanted to say I love balance an brighten and the slanted kabuki brush to apply and never used highlighter before or even knew about them but your honey lavender highlighter is amazing would love it in a supersize smile emoticon thank you again xx

Sharon Harvay Laura..... the amount i have bought over the years..... wink emoticon xx

Laura Geller I hope you've all been enjoying our beautiful Sarah! I know she has some shows coming up tomorrow, September 22nd at 11 PM & then Friday September 25th at 9 PM smile emoticon

Laura Geller Jillian Widlake Another great suggestion! Please know that while I don't have an answer for all your amazing product development ideas, I always take them back to my lovely Product Development team to see if they are possible heart emoticon

Isabel O'Hara Sarah is lovely and very talented. She does your brand proud. Always happy when your schedule allows you to appear too though!

Laura Geller Isabel O'Hara Thank you for those kind words and I always look forward to being there with my gals! heart emoticon

Alison Smith Just wanted you to know I love all your make up it's the best. I don't use any other brand now, Thankyou Laura for all your hard work and for all the beautiful goodies to bring to us. Looking forward to your next visit. Sending love to you and Daniel. Hope you will be happy in your new home. Xx

Melanie Hughes Hi Laura, I love BnB but I suffer from rosecea, do you have any tips on how to maximise the coverage from it? Also would you recommend using concealer before BnB, or after? Thanks xx

Laura Geller Alison Smith I'm so touched by your words, it means the world to me! Clearly you have outstanding taste wink emoticon hehe heart emoticon

Elizabeth McGovern Hi Laura smile emoticon I love your make up, my favourite being the sculpting bronzer. I was wondering if the baked brow tones is going to become available again as the brunette shade has been sold out for some time and its my favourite ever brow product?? Thanks smile emoticon

Sylvia Jarvis I agree Isabel O'Hara, I met Sarah at the Beauty Bash this January, and she did my make up. When I got home HOURS later, I took a photo for my facebook profile pic!!

Celia David Thanks for the add to this group. Just too late for Q&A's frown emoticon

Laura Geller Elizabeth McGovern We don't have an answer at the moment but my team will private message you when Brow Tones in Brunette is back in stock smile emoticon

Laura Geller Sylvia Jarvis So glad you got to capture a beautiful pic for your page! That was brilliant smile emoticon

Isabel O'Hara Date's in the diary!

Debbie Flint And this time next week it will be LOLA ROSE! with the wonderful Nikki Gewirtz ! x

Debbie Flint if anyone wants to keep updated in what's going on, do 'like' my facebook page on here and also do subscribe to my newsletter on my website, which often includes exclusives! x

Sylvia Jarvis I love the berry tone lip colours, rather than the nude neutrals. Would it be possible to give your fairer GG's paler colours, and brighter shades for us darker girls when you next put a TSV together?

Many thanks  xx

Debbie Flint Laura you've been amazing!

Sharon Harvay Back To You members please join me in saying a HUGE thank you to Laura Geller for joining us this evening and giving us lots of sneaky info hehe, Laura you have been amazing as usual! We cannot wait to see you in November and will tune in tomorrow with Sara xx

Back to you Extra Chat - WEd 23rd - Gatineau - Andrew Bagley

v

Anne-Marie Mason Hi, a request more than a question please Andrew. Please consider adding an oil to your range. I think you'd do a brilliant Age Benefit one. x

Andrew Bagley You're not wrong, totally agree and request already sent to France!!

Kelly Davidson He looks just like a Hollywood star, whenever I watch that is all I see!

Andrew Bagley Your flattery is unjustifed but very sweet smile emoticon

Sharon Harvay Hi Andrew, thank you for joining us here this evening! We are so looking forward to your upcoming TSV! Please could you tell us who this set is for?

Andrew Bagley Hi Sharon, yeh I'm so excited too. I love this one as we're the best at serums and you get the whole kit for less than the anti-ageing serum alone, then you get a choice of full-size moisturiser, a full-sze Throat Gel and a full-size Lip Care

Rebecca Warren Hello Andrew Bagley my question is about the best products to use after weight loss, I have sensitive combination skin 43 years old and need help supporting my skin (face and body) after almost three stone weight loss, particularly eye, neck and number 11 lines. Thanks in advance Rebecca Warren

Andrew Bagley Hi Rebecca, the range we advise for helping clients through weight-loss is always DefiLift, it's really great for firming and toning the jawline and helping to lift x

Rebecca Warren Thanks Andrew Bagley got the oto recently with at least 10 piece travel sizes of all the different ranges so will give defilift a whirl, using the melatonin at the moment, it's fine having a better size body but seeing my Mother God bless her when I look in the mirror is a bridge too far

Sharon Harvay Fantastic Question Rebecca! Congratulations on your weightlossxx

Mags Webb Hi Andrew please are you able to tell us the price of your TSV I do love your products, thank you xx

Andrew Bagley Hi Mags, it's £59.94 and is on 3-pay which is great, thanks QVC!

Mags Webb Sharon Thank you xxx

Mags Webb Rebecca Warren Thank you for asking that I could do with that kind of help too Ill follow whatever Andrew suggests. xx

Sandra Gregory Hi Andrew I use your Melatogenine products which I love, but my eyelids are quite wrinkley, I was wondering if the Defilift would be any good for me - I am coming up to 60 years old, thanking you in advance xxx

Andrew Bagley Yes sure Sandra Gregory as we age slackening and crepiness becomes more of an issue and this is where DefiLift comes into its own.

Alison J Lowe Hi Andrew, can the Gommage be used as a mask/treatment for open pores or can you recommend another product. I am going to try

Andrew Bagley The Anti-Ageing Gommage yes, it's awesome, leave it on for 20 mins and peel it off and it's superb for closing and cleaning open pores

Alison J Lowe Thanks Andrew, I will certainly try that.

Alison J Lowe Sorry, that meant to read another product I could try! Thanks

Maggie Buxey hi Andrew i use your melatogenine eye cream but is it enough as i have every problem thier is with my eyes so is there anything else thats better for me x

Andrew Bagley You might try DefiLift Eye for Day and Melato for night, then you get the absolute best of both worlds!

Dawn Buchanan Hi Andrew Bagley, which products would u recommend for oily skin, ta x

Dawn Robinson Hello Andrew, I just wated to say how much i love Defi Lift Lip Care ! I use it every single night, my question is i would love one with a hint of pink for in the day xxx

Andrew Bagley Dawn Robinson we're right with you, the request has been lodged with Paris for a while now so fingers crossed smile emoticon x

Dawn Robinson Ooowww brilliant thank you x

Dawn Robinson The neck cream is on my wish list ! It sounds wonderful x

Dawn Buchanan Hi Andrew Bagley, which products would u recommend for oily skin, ta x

Andie Stephany Andrew Bagley - I use the neck cream and love it. Please can we have larger bottles with pumps rather than tubes?

Andrew Bagley Dawn Robinson you won't regret it, the Throat Gel is insanely good and has been a cult product for years now

Sharon Harvay Oh i love the throat product! Especially now i am almost...41...ssshhhhh... it really is a hero product x

Sharon Harvay Debbie Flint we are here smile emoticon

Andie Stephany I meant the throat gel!!! Are you 41 twice Sharon?

Sharon Harvay Andrew Bagley - what other surprises do you have for us in the shows on Saturday?

Dawn Robinson I know it's one of Debbie Flints top produts , another one i keep looking at is the hand cream ! I will be making my Chritmas list tonight x

Sharon Harvay I feel it Andie hahahaha

Alison J Lowe I love the Age Benefit Serum, will this be ok with the Defilift moisturiser as I will be getting the TSV but never tried Defilift before

Andie Stephany Andrew reminds me a bit of Nigel Havers!

Andie Stephany A young one of course!!!

Michael James Hamlyn Great to see another web chat from you Andrew, I learnt so much from the last one.

Last time I was in love with lazer 7, but I'm thinking this has been discontinued?

Luckily I like the 30 day skin perfecter too... But just wondering what you may suggest when not using this? I have the slightest whisper of fine lines but my main concern is open pores/uneven skin tone and breakouts... My skin can be reactive/sensitive but it likes the previously mentioned products and the radiance enhancing gommage.

(Oh and currently using your combo skin cleanse/tone at night)

Aisha London I tried everything. Please do you have any advice for open pores.

Andrew Bagley Hi Andie Stephany I wish we could have larger bottles too, trust me, we're trying smile emoticon

Andie Stephany Thank you. A pump would be so much easier too

Debbie Flint Hi all! Have a great chat! Andrew remind newcomers what brought u to Gatineau in first place and how u felt when you first saw Ali Young bring Gatineau to QVC ? What was it like in the early days? X

Julie Pratt Hi Andrew super excited about the TSV! Can you please do a high level detail on the two moisturisers x

Sue Stewart Hi Andrew I met you at the Beauty Bash and I must say that you paid me some lovely compliments regards my skin. I'm using Deficit and my skin love's it and the other products I have. Thank you x

Andrew Bagley So for Saturday we have two big promotions running alongside the TSV; firstly a DefiLift Eye Duo and then an amazing ultimate Age Benefit collection

Debbie Flint Just to add to the conversation about the throat Gel, yes I have used it since the early days (that and liz earle line serum when I couldn't get throat gel in my years away from QVC. Makes it nearly 20 years I guess!) When will the 20th anniversary of throat gel Andrews on QVC?

Debbie Flint By the way, am on air tonight 11pm liz claibourne fashions and midnight with tsv xmas lights! Do join me, all! X

Andrew Bagley I do love our Hand Cream, has to be said, look out for it in the massive 400ml size!

Maggie Buxey I love the throat gel I also have been using it for a long time and I can honestly say for my age it looks a lot better condition than some of my friends about the same age x

Sue Stewart I'm also using the DefiLift lip care but I'm finding my lipstick 'slips'a little. Any suggestions for best application?

Sharon Harvay I have never tried the Hand cream so thats on my list now you have said that Andrew, Thank you. However promise me you will NEVER EVER stop making your Tan Accelerator....omg its been my staple for years im addicted to it....x

Sara Brown Andrew, which should I use first age benefit serum or wrinkle corrector in my routine? I've been using Gatineau since the TSV last November. Totally addicted and recently had skin analysed and over ten years younger than my age. It's no longer feeling parched and no wrinkles in sight.

I use the age Benefit serum on alternate months.

Sara Brown's photo.

Jill Dowding-Walker I love the throat gel. With 3D neck cream over it! Double effect!

Like · Reply · 1 · 1 hr

Sandra Gregory I agree with you Sharon, Tan Accelerator is fab I ran so much more now and it lasts longer too x

Sue Stewart Third that Sharon and Sandra.

Andrew Bagley Loving the Nigel Havers comment, I think smile emoticon My mother will laugh her socks off smile emoticon

Andrew Bagley Jill Dowding-Walker you have the perfect neck routine, Throat Gel + DefiLift Throat Moisturiser, well done to you!

Sharon Harvay Jill does have THE most amzing skin x

Sue Stewart There was a fb post that asked the best thing about Gatinea. My answer was Andrew Bagley. Hope you don't mind. But you explain things so well x

Andrew Bagley Sara Brown love the testing, you must be happy! But yes you're right use the Anti-wrinkle Corrector first then serum on top, great routine, well done

Andrew Bagley Sharon Harvay we're never giving up on Tan Accelerator, fret not, i don't go anywhere without it and all the girls in the office are absolutely hooked!

Andrew Bagley Sue Stewart, try putting your lipstick on first, waiting a few minutes then pop DefiLift Lip Care on top, not my morning routine naturally but my Gatineau girls tell me it's a winner. Don't forget to use at evening also as a lip mask

Sue Stewart Thanks Andrew I've been using it the wrong way round!

Sharon Harvay Phew......everything is ok in my world smile emoticon its amazing!! I have sun sensitive skin now due to medication and have to wear a really high factor. This protects my skin and still gives me the most amazing Tan, i also use it on my Children to protect against prickly heat. It makes their skin feel beautiful. Thank you

Andrew Bagley Loving your questions toniight ladies, keep them coming, 13 minutes to go

Sara Brown Finally from me could we have an exfoliation TSV with Radiance Enhancing Gommage. Ps I'm not an addict even if the picture says otherwise.

Sara Brown's photo.

Julie Pratt Hi Andrew can you advise on the two moisturisers in the TSV?

Jill Dowding-Walker Hahaha Sara!

Sue Stewart Exfoliating products. Where have I been? Will there be any on over the weekend

Dawn Robinson Lol Sara

Andrew Bagley Sara Brown I am loving that picture, that's more Beauty Passports than I have in my office right now smile emoticon Great to see you're using it though, it's the most amazing loyalty systems out there heh. 4 whole points on the next TSV, how's about that!!

Jan Thompson Andrew what would you suggest to be the best eye cream for me, I'm a contact lens wearer and think years of stretching my eyes to insert them have taken it's toll, I do have oily skin but my eyes are quite lined underneath the eye socket at the top of my cheeks, thank you

Sharon Harvay Sue...i use it all the time, its such a beautiful lip product. Its great on top of lipstick. Ive even applied it with a lipbrush, as a gloss on top of a Matt Lipstick...oooppps smile emoticon

Sandra Taylor Has the fragrance is the cleanser changed. Recent one I opened has a smell of marzipan ?I don't like it

Andrew Bagley Now Sharon Harvay you seem as addicted as Michaela Taylor!

Andrew Bagley Hi Sandra Taylor, that sounds strange as no, no fragrances have changed; what cleasing skin type product was it please?

Jill Dowding-Walker Would love a whole set of 3D DefiLift. I know you told me not likely as that would not appeal to enough customers. Any chance that viewpoint might change? (Fingers still crossed!)

Sandra Taylor I just thought I normally get the pink toner but this time I got orange toner is the cleanser different ?

Andrew Bagley Hi Sandra, maybe take a pic of that one and send on to me personally and we'll have a look at it

Sandra Taylor Thanks Andrew

Andrew Bagley Hi Jan Thompson i'd definitely go for Melatogenine Eye, it's amazing for wrinkles full stop and also has an enzymatic exfoliating action; no sensation but massive brightening effect. It's Alison Young's go-to Eye Cream and she's not on her own. Good luck and do let me know

Jan Thompson Thanks Andrew Bagley, I really appreciate your advice x

Andrew Bagley To be honest Jill Dowding-Walker there a few DefiLift only kits on the internet with QVC that you should be able to find with a quick search. Alternatively, this TSV on Saturday is amazing from a DefiLift perspective as it's got a FS DefiLift Cream, a DefiLift Lip, the Throat Gel (best lifting ever) and then there is the DefiLift Eye Duo available as well. Enjoy!!

Andrew Bagley Any more for any more guys and girls???

Sharon Harvay It really is the most wonderful TSV and the value and the Easy pay make this a no brainer!! I think it is superb and would make the most amazing Christmas present too! Thank you Andrew and Gatineau for bringing us such a fantastic Range from such an amaazing brand x

Andie Stephany Thanks Andrew x

Andrew Bagley So, time to put my face mask on smile emoticon, thanks so much for all your questions, it's been loads of fun and I look forward to speaking with some of you on air during Saturday x

Jill Dowding-Walker Woot-woot!!! grin emoticon x

Jill Dowding-Walker Thanks Andrew! x x x

Sandra Gregory Thank you Andrew x

Sharon Harvay Back To You Qvc Members, please join me in Thanking Andrew Bagley for joining us for an amazing Q & A this evening. Andrew we really appreciate you taking the time to speak with us and so look forward to joining you from Midnight Friday for an amazing TSV and a fab day of Gatineau Goodies. Have a wonderful evening x

Alison J Lowe Thanks Andrew

Dawn Robinson Thank you Andrew & Sharon xoxoxo

Sandra Gregory Thanks to you too Sharon x

Bruce Hymanson – webchat Monday 21st September 2015 – Bodyblade QVC Facebook gp

Hello Bodyblade Ohana!!Good evening to all. I hope you are all focused on enjoying life. How do we measure "enjoying life". Perhaps, it's about pain relief or realizing that you can now look forward to doing something you thought was out of reach or simply impossible. Perhaps, the ability to make new friends or get together with family more often. The notion that where ever you are today (and we all experience this) what are some goals we'd like to achieve? It's important to set our long term goals and our short term goals as well. The short term goals is what gets the results and puts us on the path to achieving the long term goal. The great thing about this is there are wonder things to enjoy along the way even without fully achieving the long term goal. It's so important to not lose sight of the great things that happen along the way. So, tonight, let's talk about perma-habits, short term goals, how to set them and how to succeed!! See you in just about 30 minutes

Bruce Hymanson Maureen-Guillian Barre syndrome as you know can be a very debilitating yet often a disease that patients can recover from. The severity of the attach can vary from simply tingling sensation in the extremities to paralysis of the extremities. Since I do not know your husband's case and history, it would be impossible to prescribe a treatment regimen so I suggest you take the Bodyblade to your MD or PT and let them advise you. Having said that. GBS is a neurological disease and over the years, I have treated patients using Bodyblade. As a PT, it is important to maintain flexibility and bring blood to the extremities of the patient. I also believe that stimulating the nervous system, brain to muscle and the receptors involved with balance, awareness of joint position are extremely important. Fatigue is also a factor. Bodyblade can easily adapt to the challenges your husband may experience. For those reasons, I believe the blade can help. Please, please, take it to your MD and let them have the final say

I joined SW and I am pleased to say it is working for me with a 23 lbs so far ..I then needed a form of excercise to work along side it and after watching Bruce and Debbie a couple of weeks ago I invested in my Bodyblade ...it's the best thing I've bought ever !! Bruce Hymanson Chris- welcome back! The key to perma-habits as you know is to stay in the hunt. Do a little every day or every other day. It is much easier to keep the pace and feel as though you are making progress. Great job!!

Bruce Hymanson Maureen, keep me posted on your husbands progress. I know that GB patients can make incredible gains if the recovery potential is there. If the ability to recover and rehab is there, it is important to take every opportunity to re-train the body. I would love to see that happen for your husband.

Bruce Hymanson Chrissy- Bodyblade is great for improving balance. I would say, yes, for your friend with labrinthitis. Just make sure the MD in charge of her case sees the blade and approves the use before she gets started. I would recommend the Classic for her as well.

Bruce Hymanson Maureen-sorry to hear you broke your arm. Once the Doctor feels you can begin exercise on that extremity, Bodyblade can be a brilliant way to activate the entire shoulder girdle (including the back muscles and chest muscles attached to the shoulder). This will also help restore your flexibility. By now, I would assume the bone is healed (verify with MD). Are you seeing a Physio? if so, take the blade to them and get their advice. I would say, do only "wide side" exercises to start. For those who don't know what I mean when I say wide side or narrow side exercise. The position of the blade during the exercise determines whether it is wide or narrow side. For example, the Chest Press, is a wide side exercise. The Ab Crunch is a narrow side exercise. The narrow side exercises are more challenging to the body and therefore easier to start with wide side in rehab. Hope this helps.

Bruce Hymanson Sharon- When you say bottom, I assume you mean the bum not down by the side. So, do the Super6 workout and cover the entire body. The Hip & Thigh Sculptor is the most effective bottom exercise I know!!! It's challenging but the rewards are fab.

Bruce Hymanson Hi Kerry- Sounds like you are doing well. the 6th exercise is always the toughest for most to master. It requires quick movement rather that big muscle. There are several posts about how to master that exercise. On the pinned post I believe you can watch my video with Giselle who was a first time user. As for back ache. I don't know if that is simply muscle and normal fatigue? Does it last awhile. I don't think you should find yourself in pain after exercise. If necessary, check with your MD or Physio

Bruce Hymanson Sharon- this is the jab. Holding the blade out to the side (wide side exercise) and driving the blade. You can allow this to be down by the side too. Triy to move it around to the front of your body too. Remember, light grip, find the rhythm of the blade and simply react. don't try to set the pace of the blade but speeding up or slowing down. There is only one rhythm. The blade determines that. you can only match that rhythm.

Liz Farrington Hello Bruce I was saying on here the other day. I'm so happy you invented the bodyblade. I have a disability which stops me going to the gym. But using the bodyblade is amazing the results are fantastic. I've lost 3 stone now and using the bodyblade to tone up is brilliant. Thank you Bruce for inventing this. Your a star.

Unlike · Reply · 2 · 6 mins

Bruce Hymanson In the final minute or two. I want to reinforce what's important here. Make exercise a habit. Make the Super 6 or any workout something you do on a regular basis like brushing your teeth. You would never go to sleep without taking care of your teeth and brushing every night. This is a habit. This is something you do regularly because you know it is important for your health, your hygiene and future. Bodyblade is a habit and when you do the habit more, it is harder to let it go. That's what a habit is. We have good and bad habits but once they are established, they are hard to break. Make Bodyblade a good habit, a perma-habit that will effect your life in wonderful ways.

Like · Reply · 7 · 3 mins

Bruce Hymanson Anne- to answer your question about weight watchers points, I don't know exactly how that would apply. Bodyblade training is like walking a brisk mile or a light jog in terms of calories burned in a workout. Does that help?

You know when you get one of those books which keeps you thinking about it and the characters for hours afterwards as realistically as if you'd been with them? Well The Understudy did that to me. It's so well-written and extremely funny. I - as usual - listened to the audible version and narrator Paul Thomley really made it for me. VERY well read, a true performance.

This is what one of Amazon's Top 1000 'Vine Voice' reviewers had to say -

'It's always difficult reviewing a book which lists all of the critics positive reviews on the jacket, but here goes. I was interested in this book because I've seen the film of 'Starter for 10' and am now reading the book, but decided to read Nicholls' follow up first to see if he's a good a writer as he's cracked up to be and my verdict is that he's excellent.

The plot of this novel focuses around a kind of anti-hero, struggling actor/understudy/dead body/dancing squirrel Stephen C. McQueen (the C is at the insistence of his agent so he's not confused by the late movie star)and his relationship with his leading man, the 12th sexiest man on the planet, Josh Harper, and Stephen's growing attraction to Josh's wife Nora. In many ways, it serves as a pastiche of celebrity culture and exposes it for what it really is and the juxtoposition between the nerdy, introspective and slightly prissy Stephen and the 'action man' Josh is nicely crafted. I do think Nicholls has a talent for writing dialogue which many authors lack and this can be attributed to his concurrent career as a screenwriter.

I loved this book and was disappointed when it finished. I'd recommend it to all as it's such a good read'

I loved it too. What a fabulous book. His next novel was an international best seller - one of my favourite books/movies, ‘One Day.’ David Nicholls’s ‘The Understudy’ was his second book, and will soon be a movie – again. It has some brilliant one liners and characterisation. I got totally drawn into One Day, and after a tiny slow start, this one did the same. I laughed out loud in the car on the way to work! A good 9 out of ten on the audible scale from me. What will you think? go here to read more - The Understudy on Amazon.

Best wishes

RIP Wayne Dyer – my favourite self-help speaker. Big News – Webchats on Q Page – the line up is out! Webchat Q&A this week from Leigh, Tarte Cosmetics and Bruce Bodyblade. AND which big brand has joined my Medical Detection Dogs fundraising team?

Oh I was soooo sad this week to hear of the passing of one of life’s great men – Wayne Dyer, erstwhile QVC guest, self-help guru and genius writer, who died at the weekend. Such a shame – for all concerned but he leaves such an amazing legacy. I list a couple of my favourite books of his below. If you’ve never heard of him do read this lovely tribute on MindBodyGreen – go here.

For anyone in the wellness world, Wayne Dyer was a legend for his ambition and inspiration. As he once said, "There is no scarcity of opportunity to make a living at what you love; there's only scarcity of resolve to make it happen." (The Power Of Intention).

He backed up his positivity with book sales that made publishers take the self-help category seriously (his first book Your Erroneous Zones sold over 35 million copies), and a career that lasted for four decades.

When I went through my own difficult transition time, when I left QVC, got divorced, changed jobs several times, learned freedom eating and rediscovered myself, his teachings inspired me more than anything else. Here are a few of the sayings he gave me, which also played a role with my own children. My son Brad even made a seminal piece of artwork for his A Level featuring some of his sayings.

‘Give up your need to be right.’

‘Be independent of the good and bad opinion of others.’

‘You’ll see it when you believe it … whatever you believe will be true for you.’

‘Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you are right.’

‘what you focus on expands… you’ll just get more of it, including something you don’t want, if all you do is keep putting your attention on it.’

‘Don’t die with your music still in you.’

‘You’re not a human being having a spiritual experience, you’re a spiritual being having a human experience.’

‘Everything in the world is as it is meant to be… and so is your desire to change it.’

‘In relationships, if you have the choice to be right or to be kind, pick kind.’

If you wake every morning at 4am, ‘don’t go back to sleep, the morning breeze has secrets to tell,’

And if someone is constantly critical of you and your choices – ‘when I made this decision I didn’t have you in mind.’ (!!)

Or if they still keep on –  ‘you’ll get over it.’! Hah!

Here are ten more.

I loved his story about being a ‘Scurvy Elephant’ – google it.

Wayne Video – the power of contemplation and talking about his childhood here  and if you’ve never seen his work before, here’s one of my favourites -  I love this old one, ‘how to get what you really really really really want’ how to get what you really really really really want’ – watch it here.

And a more recent one is here – your reality is created by your thoughts.

Also - On his website right now, a chance to see his movie The Shift – “Wayne loved this film and wanted as many people as possible to see it and get the benefits of learning to go from Ambition to Meaning in their life. In memory of Wayne, we are offering all of you the opportunity to watch The Shift for FREE for the next 7 days. Here is the link http://bit.ly/1MZ0ijj

Pic of serena and wayne

What if he was your dad? What must it have been like to be in his family? Serena Dyer, one of his 8 children, tells more about it, and made me wonder what my life would have been like had I had this influence earlier. And whilst I had my own version of him – a mini version in my father (who died aged just 52 in 1992 but always listened to my grand ideas) – I have at least tried my hardest to pass on to my own children a few of the messages and powerful beliefs that his work gifted to me, at an important time in their lives. Go here to see what Serena says and to find out more about his amazing beliefs. I just wish they taught it in schools. And I just wish every parent would have that type of belief in their own children, especially before the age of seven (listen to ‘the Biology of Belief’ to find out why that age.)

His Work I would love to recommend his work to anyone who has difficulty coping with their stage of life, or with hardships, depression, loneliness etc. He’s amazing, and his work will live on forever.

Go here to see his books on Amazon – including Manifesting Your Destiny, Real Magic, Excuses Begone, and a good one to begin with – the Power of Intention, Change the Way you Look at Things and the Things you Look at will Change. More here.

I had the amazing experience of being able to say hi to him and get a little video done when I was at QVC and he was selling Excuses Begone, a CD and book set, in autumn 2009. And saw him at I Can Do It in London in 2012 with Craigy and my son Brad. So glad I did. And even though Goody and I will now not see him on Oct 1st in London, I will have some very precious memories of one of life’s greats. RIP Wayne Dyer, 1940 – 2015.

LEIGH FROM TARTE COSMETICS LIVE WEBCHAT 31/8/2015

Sharon Harvay Hi Leigh, Welcome to Back To You Qvc, so lovely to have you join us for a live web chat. Many congratulations on your Wedding too!Tarte Cosmetics seem to have taken everyone by storm! What is it you love about the brand and why? Xx

Sara Mahmoud Hi leigh, I'm new to tarte I only have the last tsv and the collection of 3 lip glosses and i love every single item. Will we be getting another tsv before Christmas ? And will we get the new energy noire collection anytime soon? I can't wait to build up my tarte collection, they are fantastic products. Xx

Nia Timothy Hi Leigh, just got a question about the maracuja oil - will it do anything for oily skin with open pores? Thank you! Xx

Sharon Harvay Sara did you manage to see the shows these past few days? Some amazing items x

Sara Mahmoud I did Sharon Harvay there were some amazing products but I thought I'd wait for a next tsv. X

Aly Quick Hi Leigh. I am a Tarte addict! Amazing products. I have several of the Tarte eye shadow pallets. Can I dip a wet brush into the colours and use them as liner? Will it ruin them or will they dry back to powder. I did it with Bobbi Brown once and ruined my pallet. I don't want that to happen to my Tarte.

P's, you always look so amazing!

Debby Lisa Ross Hi Leigh, just wondering when will the 24 hour blusher with the brush be coming back into stock? I also have the Amazonian clay waterproof eyeliner and wondered how the Prismatic liner and Tartiest paint liner are different, Thanks, I love Tarte cosmetics xx

Deborah Platt I absolutely love Maracuja oil and find it fantastic for my oily but dehydrated skin! I also love the eye cream but it has disappeared from QVCUK, is it returning please? Also, when are we getting Tarteguard please (I have had a sample and it is perfect as a moisturiser)? I love Tarte products!

Dawn Robinson Hello Leigh , firstly your brushes are absolutely brilliant ! I have the Clay Foundation i love the coverage & it lasts all day too xx

Claire Evans Will we be getting anymore sets before Christmas please, think I have heard rumours about a holiday bumper set??? Sooooooo excited already x

Lorri Vick Congrats on your wedding Leigh. I have used tarte since it first came to qvc. Adore the foundations and maracuja oil. Will we be getting the new foundation that i have recently heard about. Sorry have forgotten its name!! Xx

Dawn Robinson What Tarte products did you use on your wedding day ? You looked flawless xx

Leigh Griffin Hi Sharon! Thank for for the sweet wedding wishes! I have been with the Tarte brand for 7 years working closely with our founder Maureen on developing the products we all love so much. I love our brand because we are conscious of the ingredients and do not use which is hugely important to me because I have very sensitive skin. Our products are not only good for you, but they're incredibly high performance. I love that I can put my makeup on in the morning and not have to touch it up at all throughout the day.

Leigh Griffin Hi Sara! We do have another TSV coming in October and we are working on bringing the energy noir palette to the UK! Hopefully in time for holiday!

Leigh Griffin Hi Nia! The maracuja oil is really amazing for all skin types. It balances oil production while hydrating so you'll actually find that you breakout less!! It will really change your skin in a way you've never seen before!

Leigh Griffin Hi Aly! You can absolutely use our shadows as liners! It's one of my favorite things to do with my makeup!!  It won't ruin them!

Cherish Thomas more foundation shades please.

Leigh Griffin Hi Debby!! The blushes will be back in stock for our October visit! The tarteist liner is a thinner, more liquid formula and the prismatic liner is a cream! Both have excellent wear time!xx

Leigh Griffin Hi Dawn!! I'm soo happy to hear that!!!  you!

Debbie Flint Have a fab chat Leigh! Lovely to see u at the awards! You looked amazing! Xx

Leigh Griffin Hi Claire!! Yes!!! We have so many amazing sets coming up for holiday! Lots of values and new shades!! You can basically do all holiday shopping for the ladies on your list!!! Xx

Dawn Robinson Thank you x

Leigh Griffin Hi Lorri!!! Thank you so much! You are so kind! YES! I'm so excited that we'll be bringing the new foundation to the UK in Spring 2016!! Xx

Cherish Thomas Leigh we need more colour shades please.

Claire Evans Thank you Leigh, that's fantastic, I can't wait, yay!!!!!!! Xxxxxxx

Helen Flook Hi Leigh! I absolutely love this range - please can we have more colours in the lip butters? My real favourite is plummy rose. The brushes are wonderful, it's all wonderful!

BRUCE HYMANSON – BODYBLADE QVC WEBCHAT – Monday 31st August 2015

Bruce Hymanson

Good evening Bodyblade Ohana! Just one week from now, I will be in London and on QVC hopfully with some of you!! Tonight, I wanted to talk about plateau. What is it? Do you feel as though you are reaching a plateau and if so, what can we do about it. If you are doing great with your workouts, feeling the difference and noticing improvement in your looks and how you feel, please share with the group. I'll be back at 8 O'clock!

You, Anne Keating, Chris Jopp, Joanne Mitchell and 35 others like this.

Anne Keating Hi Bruce. How are you? You couldn't have asked a better question than do we think we've reached a plateau! This past fortnight I seem to have lost all my get up and go! And over the weekend I was picking up the Bpdyblade and putting it down without even using it. Not like me at all! Yesterday was better but do you feel that way ever? And should I just leave it or work through it? Although saying that, I really couldn't have. xx

Bruce Hymanson Hi to all. Anne, everyone plateaus during every exercise program. That may have different meaning for different people

Bruce Hymanson For a body builder, it may mean that no matter how hard they try, they can't get past a certain weight they are lifting. Not the case for us but we could reach a different plateau

Like · Reply · 1 · Yesterday at 20:07

Bruce Hymanson For us, as functional trainers, we can gain strength, endurance, muscle definition and a better performing body but after awhile, you get used to how well you feel and how good you look where is becomes the norm rather than something new and exciting

Like · Reply · 6 · Yesterday at 20:08

Bruce Hymanson Hi Sarah, yes, you can always vary your grip as you prefer. The lace grip is more often the easier grip for beginners but the top to bottom is a great grip. Actually more advanced!!

Denise Widdows Hi Bruce. I've been struggling to stay motivated and stick to some sort of schedule. I have a lot going on at the moment but so has everyone else so I can't use that as an excuse. Just lazy frown emoticon

Bruce Hymanson So, sometimes, you just have to change things up a little. Modify the workout substituting one exercise for another or add squats or lunges or more trunk rotation. Even a little choreopgraphy (step back, step side, step forward, etc) to make it more interesting at times. Perhaps, do a new workout every day you train by visiting you tube and doing a different workout each day (3 x wk) for that week.

Bruce Hymanson Exercise shouldn't be work but it is something that we must pay attention to like our hygiene or getting the right foods, brushing our teeth and maintaining a healthy routine. Nothing in life is free. Those things we earn are the most rewarding and valuable

Bruce Hymanson Hi Jacqui, Have you looked at all the instructional videos and posts regarding the Hip & Thigh? Remember, strength has nothing to do with matching the rhythm of the blade. Well.....not entirely. You need to have strength but the most important factor is "speed". Quickness and coordination are vital to mastering the H&TS.

Sarah Price I think thats the BB secret for me, it doesnt feel like exercise and its only 6 minutes , if Im having a rough day I stop several times on every exercise if its a better day I fly through them , Ive learned to listen to my body

Like · Reply · 1 · Yesterday at 20:19

Bruce Hymanson That's great Anne! Any small change can make the difference. New scenery, one new exercise, changing the order are all variables that can work for us. I always try to do more inside the same minute. For example, If I am doing a chest press, I might try to rotate left, center, right as many times as possible in the one minute. Never compromise technique or safety but it is fun to challenge yourself

Bruce Hymanson Floor exercises can be challenging so do them slowly and in segments. You can sit and try the Chest Press on the floor. Then progress to the ab crunch position, side lying (bottom leg bent knee, hip on floor), then progress from there. The toughest will be the plank. You can try the plank and leave your hips on the floor. Gradually, try to raise them up. As I say, very challenging the plank

Bruce Hymanson Hi Julie, welcome to our family. Best way to relax is to shrug your shoulders to know what tension is, then let them go. See and feel the difference. You can also watch in the mirror if that helps you to relax. It's something that you will adapt to and find yourself relaxing more. Watch the LEARN section of the DVD for more about the common driving errors.

Sooo proud this week. Again. See this week’s Back to You blog for an amazing tale of ten stone weight loss. That’s a whole person. Imagine what that feels like compared to walking around ten stone heavier. Or not, in Dawn’s case. It is astounding, isn’t it? What great before and after pics and what a fabulous example she is for so many people who think they face too big a task. She’s been on my Till the Fat Lady Slims group of Facebook for months and months, updating us and we’ve seen her weight keep going down and down. I love what she says about my book and how Freedom Eating has helped her. Go here to read her story, and see why she rates Till the Fat Lady Slims. I’m so proud.

And of course I was proud to see ‘my charity’ Medical Detection Dogs in the news again this week.

MDD on The One Show Do go here soon to see the fascinating explanation as to what my charity does – you’ll see why I want to keep raising funds for them, as Nick Kershaw explains on The One Show from Monday 24th August – it’s here.

National Dog Day Yesterday was a great excuse to post lots of doggy pics and vids on social media! So here’s another lovely little doggy video – crazy Maggie the little black spaniel next door, who is only a few weeks older than my daughter’s little Luna – having fun with my dogs last week – before the heavens opened! She’s so lovely and regularly is lifted over the fence for ‘play dates’!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Cshq677IAo

Inside my Bedroom And a quick peek around my upstairs at home – what do you think of the new Northern Nights Todays Special Value on Sunday (30th Aug on QVC UK) – it’s 700 thread count – wow! Highest we’ve ever done, and superbly comfortable – like silk. The highest I’ve ever slept in at home that’s for sure. Love it. Click here for the video tour round my home - #2 – upstairs. Told you it was small!

Thank you everybody who came on Saturday to our special event at Wotton Village Hall near Dorking in Surrey. And to anyone who donated online as well. What an amazing success. Including some private donations, we have actually reached £5000. Yes really! And I have some very big news about me and the charity, more of that next week.

This week’s Webchats was with me! Following the enormous success of the day, we all discussed it. More importantly lots of people posted links to articles, videos, and news features about medical detection dogs, the charity we did it all for. Many of the lovely dogs and owners turned up on the day and thank you to Christina and Annie and the team from MDD for attending and processing all the money.

Thank you also to my lovely helpers without whom I couldn't have done it.

So below is the full web chat transcript, and if you wanted to look on Facebook on the back to you QVC group you will probably be able to look back to Monday and find the full Q and A. Enjoy it, tons of reading below.

And well done to Dr Claire guest and team at MDD, for getting such wonderful coverage for the news that they are they have been granted the ability to use the dogs to help detect prostate cancer in hospital urine samples. As back up for the main tests which can be unreliable.

Thank you to Patrick from cracker, Abby from ultra sun, Polly from Imedeen, my lovely pal and CBBC presenter Craig, Ginetta from Veronese, and Selin from no-no as well as Justine Balmer from Gtech, all of whom attended and helped make the day a fabulous smash hit.

Next Monday the 17th, I believe we will be hearing from Lisa from a' kin!

Have a great week and speak soon. PS on my website homepage, I am posing an interesting question about meeting up, if you like till the fat lady slims, and bodyblade. Do you go here to read it. And email me your reply.

Best wishes have a great week

This week my book of the week is a smashing book i've been listening to on audible, by a lovely lady called Beryl Kingston. I met Beryl out in France inJune and she's a very prolific author who writes about "the old days up north!"

"Off the rails" is a super story of rags to riches and love and vengeance. I am really enjoying the atmospheric settings, the use of the vernacular, and the emotions she evokes in her story about a lad who was cast out by his family and went on to make it good, and the woman he left behind.

You can get it from Amazon, it's not a new one but if you like it she has written so many, it would be good to get into her library.

Till the fat lady slims

What a fabulous success this was when I did a freebie of the e-book over the weekend. It stayed at number one in the kindle chart in the UK for diets and weight loss, for most of the weekend, and around 1500 were downloaded. I seriously hope it helps a lot of people. I have just decided to donate all my proceeds from my QVCversion which I did on air on QVC UK in January, which sold out completely. (Itwas a hardback with extra content.) to my charity, medical detection dogs. Theyhave been in the news a lot lately, have you seen it? Anyway here is the link if you want to read some of the reviews of TTFLS 2.0. And here is one lady's comment now she has lost a lot of weight and just recently started being stricter with her principles of freedom eating, as explained in my book.

Have a lovely week

Best wishes
